The origin of Shangnan tea falls within the Qinling Nature Reserve and serves as a water conservation area for the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. The local ecological environment is excellent, and no pesticides are applied to the tea plantations. It is one of the main tea-producing areas in Shaanxi Province. The region is dominated by low mountains and hills, with an annual average temperature of 14 degrees Celsius. The ecological resources are uniquely endowed, and the naturally slightly acidic soil is highly suitable for the growth of tea. Due to the early planting of tea in Shima Town, it became one of the places where “Shangnan Quanming” tea was named in 1982. The green tea produced here has a clear soup, green leaves, and a sweet aftertaste. It is particularly renowned in the tea market for its tight and fine strip shape, high aroma, and rich flavor.
